Why Do People Choose Coaching?
For so many varied and unique reasons! They may be experiencing stress or burnout or struggling with worried thoughts and overwhelming emotions. They may want some guidance in deciding on the direction they want to take next in their lives or to learn new lifestyle habits and self-care strategies. Many times, they want to increase their level of self-awareness to better relate to themselves and the people around them. Or, maybe they have challenging life situations that could benefit from structured problem-solving or a little extra support.
The list could go on and on - the reasons are limitless, but at the core people choose to participate in coaching to make their mental health and emotional well-being a priority!
At times there can still be stigma about participating in things that are so good for us - like therapy or coaching. There is that little part of us that says we "should" be able to do it on our own. Social media has made this all too common. Everyone else just seems so perfect! We tell ourselves that we need to be too.
But, here's the thing - it's pretty difficult for us to grow and learn and change all on our own.
Sometimes we all need some structure, guidance and support to figure things out. Especially when it relates to such deeply ingrained things, like our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and habits. So much of what has the potential to bring about happiness and life satisfaction is below the surface and can be a bit challenging to access and navigate. You don't have to be struggling - maybe you're striving for "more, better, or different"!
