Exploring Your Life Path
Have you been struggling with finding what you're passionate about in life and know that you want something to be different, but you're just not sure what that different thing should be?
We are constantly presented with an opportunity to change, grow, and evolve, which is exciting, but scary at the same time! Change is hard, even when it's positive change; our brains prefer predictability and status quo. But stay the course, find ways to advance through the discomfort and find your next path. You are not alone if you've been questioning your life and considering making changes. People of all ages and life stages can encounter times in their lives when they lack direction. Maybe you're not happy in your current situation or you're feeling this pull to do something else, but just can't figure out what that "something" is. For many people, they feel like they're just along for the ride and have no sense of empowerment or control in their lives. Many people are "creating by default" - they accept what comes their way, or alternately, struggle against the things that come their way. But they are not consciously creating what it is they want. And it takes a bit of work to figure out what that is. |
Some ways to accomplish this on your own include:
- Completing written exercises to really hone in on your core values and what is most important to you
- Examining your current thought processes and beliefs system that may be keeping you stuck
- Setting goals, taking into consideration your core values, strengths, and inner resources
- Structuring an action plan to develop habits that line up with being able to achieve those goals
