Emotional Mastery: Cultivating Ease + Equilibrium

Man experiencing Stress and Anxiety
So, there was something about this Program that caught your attention. Are there parts of you that are just so tired of being on an emotional roller coaster? Maybe you've been struggling with some aspect of your inner experience for a long time. Am I close?
Whether it's that you get completely taken over by what you feel, to the point that you "lose it", or instead, that you shut down completely and deny that you feel anything at all, your emotions are ruling your life.
Most of us, at times, feel out of control when it comes to our emotions. It's natural and normal - Life throws a lot our way! But you can broaden your self-awareness and learn new ways of navigating your inner experience.
By gaining a deeper level of self-awareness, you will improve the relationship you currently have with your emotions and develop the ability to connect more deeply with yourself, others, and the world around you.

Program Format:

  • Before your first session and following each subsequent 1:1 session, you'll receive a link to a Google Drive online folder containing videos, blog posts, guided exercises, and more.  To get the most from this Program, best results have been shown for those who dedicate up to two hours of self-work for each section.
  • You're encouraged to bring your insights, questions, and experiences to explore in session.
  • Between sessions, if you would like clarification on any of the material, have questions, or would like recommendations for additional resources, you are welcome to contact your Facilitator by email.
  • You will be asked to complete a Feedback Form following each session. Different approaches fit different people, so never be afraid to offer constructive feedback
  • Note that there is a separate file with Self-Care Suggestions. It can be difficult at times diving into the world of emotions and everything that comes along with it. Please inform your Facilitator if you find yourself struggling in relation to the material being explored.

A bit about my emotional journey...

Picture
I grew up in a family where there were big emotions present, but we didn't talk about those big emotions.

I think the underlying hope was that by not talking about them, what was causing the big emotions would just go away. As I'm sure many of you can relate, unfortunately that's not how it works. Emotional pain was pushed down and everyone in my family found their own ways of coping with it.

When difficult emotions were expressed, it was not done in healthy or constructive ways.
Looking at my past, seeing the emotional wiring that took place during childhood, it is clear to me why I struggled in the ways that I have.

I had no healthy coping strategies and throughout my life continued to push down the emotional pain I was in. I acted in destructive ways. I sabotaged relationships. I had very little control over my emotions, other than to numb. I was either shut down or completely swamped over by what I felt - there was very little middle ground.

Sharing this almost feels like a betrayal of my family. I find that I have to remind myself that exploring childhood conditioning and the origin of core beliefs is, in no way, meant to criticize, shame, or point fingers at our caregivers.

The way my parents handled emotions was how their parents handled emotions, and I can only assume further back than that. I don't blame my parents for my emotional wiring and experience. In fact, e
xploration in this area has raised my level of empathy, along with my level of self-compassion.

And the benefit of pushing through the discomfort of exploring the topic of childhood conditioning is that it has been an essential part of my healing journey.

Over the years, as I have been doing healing inner work, I have uncovered and released so many faulty core beliefs around emotions.
I've personally experienced, as well as witnessing in others, how powerful it is when your self-awareness grows and you learn how to navigate your inner world in a healthier, more positive way.

I look forward to sharing this experience with you!
